INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CLAIM IN-PERSON CME CREDITS

Please claim your CME for all live, in-person activities in which you participated by March 31, 2025.

Step 1 - Complete and submit the AAPOS meeting evaluation form. You will be linked to the credit statement

Step 2 - Complete and submit the credit statement. You will receive an email with a summary of your credits claimed. This is considered your proof of credit hours. You will not receive a certificate. Please save this summary email as a PDF for your files.

Step 3 - Your credits are NOT automatically sent to the AAO. Once you have claimed your CME, AAO members will need to manually record them with the AAO at CME Central. These are non-AAO credits. The credit provider should be listed as the IAO & AAPOS. Please upload the summary e-mail that you saved as a PDF where requested.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of pediatric ophthalmologists involved in the care of pediatric patients with medical eye conditions as well as adult patients with strabismus.

 

 

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: 

 

  • Describe recent medical advances in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of conditions encountered in the practice of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus 
  •  Apply/discuss improved techniques, compare/contrast methods, and review clinical research and advances in order to provide the best possible treatment options and care to patients 
  • Describe aspects of professionalism that will assist in the practice of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus  
  • Describe new techniques in select aspects of diagnosis and surgery pertinent to pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus

 

Physician Credit:

Annual Meeting:  The Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology (IAO) designates this live activity for a maximum of 31.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

SEC Pre-Meeting:  The Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology (IAO) designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Coding Workshop:  The Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology (IAO) designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
