If your child is experiencing blurred vision or eye strain with increased computer use, it is not from the mask fogging up the glasses, but rather from decreased blinking. This causes dryness of the eyes and can lead to digital eye strain. We recommend that your child follow the 20-20-20 rule if on devices for long periods of time: every 20 minutes look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Blue light glasses are not recommended as they do not prevent fogging up of glasses or digital eye strain
Spending a lot of time looking at screens can cause eye problems. Children may get eye strain, eye pain, headaches, and blurry vision (possibly more nearsighted or myopia)
