Founding his own practice in 2001, Dr. Lichtenstein manages three office locations serving the full socioeconomic spectrum of NYC children and adults with strabismus. He currently serves AAPOS as the Secretary-Treasurer, having been elected to the AAPOS Board of Directors in July, 2019.  Previous committee service includes Audit (Chair) and Socioeconomic.

Eric Lichtenstein received his undergraduate degree from NYU (1990) and his medical degree from Albany Medical College (1994).   His internship at Beth Israel New York (1995) was heavily concentrated in adult AIDS medicine.  He completed Ophthalmology residency at New York Eye and Ear (1998) and fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Indiana University (1999).
