The 49th Annual Meeting of AAPOS will be held at the JW Marriott Austin. Choosing Austin, TX as the location of the 2024 AAPOS Annual meeting was a strategic decision, driven by a favorable climate and its geographical position within the path of totality to provide optimal viewing access to the 2024 total solar eclipse. The next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States won’t be until 2044.

At this time, AAPOS does not require negative COVID-19 tests or masks to attend the AAPOS 2024 Annual Meeting.  AAPOS reserves the right to implement COVID-19 precaution requirements should CDC, local, or venue guidance or restrictions change. AAPOS strongly encourages all attendees to be vaccinated and boosted in accordance with CDC guidelines.
