With over 50 providers and more than 400 employees, we are committed to being Georgia’s first and best choice for a lifetime of outstanding eye care. We are seeking a compassionate & motivated Pediatric Ophthalmologist with a strong commitment to surgical and clinical excellence to join our practice!

Thomas Eye Group has been providing pediatric eye care for 50 years in the Greater Atlanta area. In fact, one of the two founders of the group was a pediatric ophthalmologist. Our current pediatric team includes 4 Pediatric Ophthalmologists, 4 Pediatric Optometrists, and 3 of only a handful of Orthoptists in the entire country. TEG has a very close, ongoing relationship with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the largest pediatric hospital networks in the country. In addition, we maintain close working relationships with the community pediatricians and pediatric sub-specialists throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.

In addition to our strong pediatric team, Thomas Eye Group has all sub-specialties represented and an established referral base in the community. Additionally, TEG uses Modernizing Medicine as its electronic medical records system, with portals for patients and referring providers, and record-sharing partnerships with other practices in the region. We understand that, as a physician, you’d much rather focus on patient care than the day-to-day details of running a business. We are proud to say that our administrative staff does an excellent job supporting the physicians, from our financial department to our dedicated HR, IT, and marketing personnel. Combined, this makes us an ideal practice for physicians who want to offer their patients an optimal, convenient healthcare experience.

TEG offers a very generous incentive package. Not only would you receive an excellent salary and bonus opportunities, but as a physician-owned practice, the opportunity to become a shareholder exists within the organization. We also offer 401(k) matching and profit sharing, potential commercial real estate, and ASC co-ownership.

The Atlanta region, we are proud to say, is a wonderful part of the country. For those who love nature, Atlanta is located near the Appalachian Trail, Great Smoky Mountains and just a few hours from the beach. For sports fans, we are home to the World Series Champions Atlanta Braves, the NFL Falcons, the NBA Hawks, MLS United FC, and several minor league sports teams. Atlanta also has a variety of cultural venues, from museums to theaters. There is also a multitude of casual social venues where your doctors can spend time with their friends and families. Your spouses won’t have difficulty finding work, either, since the Atlanta region houses the headquarters for Fortune 500 companies such as Home Depot, UPS, and Coca-Cola. No matter what you may be interested in, Atlanta has something for you.

We would love to talk to you about a career at Thomas Eye Group. Please send your CV and brief cover letter to Pam Summers at pamw@thomaseye.com and to Dr. Jerry Berland, M.D., F.A.A.P. at jerryberland@thomaseye.com.
